Jr. EC TV

An original television series in created in partnership with Rogers Communication. Jr ECTV was a weekly show featuring intergenerational conversations about media, pop culture, politics, health, economics and more. Each week a fresh panel of young leaders engaged with some of the most prominent leaders in Canada to debate and discuss the most pressing issues of the day. Jr. EC TV ran successfully for 6 season and 52 episodes drawing a diverse audience of youth, leaders, parents and educators.

Sides*

Sides* was a content stream for youth created in partnership with Bell Media. Anchored by a
first-of-its-kind weekly LIVE TV show on social media, our feed stays fresh all week long with a mix of produced and user-generated content across all social channels. Sides* passes the mic to the next generation and lets them lead the conversation. We want to give our younger generation a voice and a platform to talk about serious world issues from a fresh and youthful perspective. Our goal is to encourage more youth to engage in meaningful conversations about the world around them and the issues that pertain to their future. We’re everywhere our audience is, including TV. We curate the best of the week into a one-hour TV series. Sides* mixes the unfiltered discussion from the “LIVE social first show” with the viewers’ social media reaction and rants, airing on MUCH every week. Sides* completed its first season in 2017.

What We Stand to Gain: Indigenous Female Leadership in Canada featuring Buffy Sainte Marie

A one day program for indigenous women and girls to engage with business leaders and learn from a panel of accomplished indigenous leaders about their unique pathways to career success in a variety of fields and industries.

Luminato Festival: Exploring Human Rights with Amal Clooney

A one day program bringing together 500 young women and girls together with activists, policy makers and busines leaders to learn from award winning human rights lawyer and activist Amal Clooney.

Conscious Economics Summit

A full day program in partnership with Hoame Mediation Studio in Toronto designed to teach youth the fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation and how these practices can support success in school and career. This program provides youth with the foundational knowledge of the conscious economy.

Black on Bay Street Annual Event

A live and interactive annual event featuring black leaders who authentically discuss the unique challenges and opportunities for Black Canadians working on Bay Street.

Diasporic Discussions featuring The Honourable Jean Augustine

A one day program featuring a panel of prominent female business leaders that are first generation Canadians or long-standing immigrants to discuss success, failure and their unique career pathways.

Day on Bay

Our marquee program that has been running for 9 years in Ontario. Each year hundreds of high school students join us for “Day on Bay” field trips throughout the year. This high-profile field trip gives students a firsthand experience of Toronto’s Financial District while simultaneously teaching them the fundamentals of finance and economic wellbeing.

High Priority Schools Initiative

An interactive program to help students develop a better understanding of personal money management and business specially designed for high priority schools within the Toronto District School Board in partnership with the Equity and Inclusive Schools Office.

North Meets South Exchange Program

This annual truth and reconciliation camp is designed by The Jr. Economic Club created specifically for high school students across Canada. The exchange program allows students to live on indigenous lands for the first half, followed by a trip to Toronto for the second portion of the program. The 8 day program culminated with business competition where students marketed their very own business ideas and business plans to a group of A- list Canadian business leaders and senior government officials for a chance to win academic scholarships.

Bay Street Bootcamp

This 5-day experiential learning program brings together students from across Canada to partake in a hands-on program and business competition designed to equip them with work readiness skills and entrepreneurship training. The program allows students the opportunity to directly engage with busines leaders and policy makers while competing for a chance win to scholarships for their unique business ideas.
